Sky Lagoon Prices: Tickets, Shuttle and Day Tours Compared

Sky Lagoon entry with the seven-step ritual costs from $120 per person. Admission with a return shuttle from Reykjavík costs from $148, and a day tour that finishes at the lagoon starts at $234. Here is what you get as you spend more, and what each ticket leaves out.

There are three ways to pay for Sky Lagoon from Reykjavík: the entry pass on its own, the pass with a return shuttle, or a day tour that ends with a soak. Every one of them that includes admission gets you the same lagoon and the same seven-step Skjól ritual, so the price mostly tells you how much of the day around it is organised for you.

The main price differences

  • A good all-round choice: the Sky Lagoon Entrance Pass, from $120. Sky Lagoon sells it itself. It includes the ritual and a towel, and it is rated 4.8/5 from more than 7,800 reviews.
  • The Sér pass costs about $25 more than Saman, and only the changing room is different. On Sky Lagoon's website Saman starts at ISK 14,990 (about $129) and Sér at ISK 17,990 (about $154).
  • The shuttle bundle costs $28 more than the entry pass on its own. Admission with Transfer costs from $148. Booking the official shuttle separately, from ISK 2,499 (about $22), comes to about $6 less as two bookings.
  • A Golden Circle day costs about $114 more than the lagoon alone. The Golden Circle, Kerið Crater and Sky Lagoon tour costs from $234 for an 11-hour guided day with pickup in Reykjavík.
  • Food and drink at the lagoon are always extra. Anything from the bar or the café goes on your wristband, and lunch on the day tours is extra too.
  • Prices are per person, apart from the private airport cars. At the starting price, two adults pay $240 for entry and four pay $480. Teenagers aged 12 to 14 pay half the adult price on Sky Lagoon's website.

The ticket we'd compare first

Sky Lagoon is the seller on this listing, so you are booking the same Saman and Sér passes as on its own website, and at the starting prices in early October it was the cheaper of the two by about $9. You choose the pass and your arrival slot in the calendar below. The slot matters more than the pass: reviewers describe midday as the busiest time, and the ritual closes an hour before the lagoon does.

Other ways to book it

If you'd rather not sort out transport

Sky Lagoon Admission with Transfer adds a return coach from Reykjavík to the same admission, from $148. Pickup is from bus stops near central hotels and the BSÍ terminal, not from your door. It is rated 4.8/5 from more than 2,700 reviews.

Best for an evening slot without a car, when the public route back means two buses after dark.

See dates with the shuttle

If you have a free day for the Golden Circle

The Kerið crater and Sky Lagoon tour spends 11 hours on the Golden Circle's geysers and waterfalls, with Kerið entry and a live guide in a minibus, and ends with the lagoon. You choose Saman or Sér when you book, and it is rated 4.9/5 from more than 600 reviews.

For $5 more, the Golden Circle, Farm and Sky Lagoon tour adds a greenhouse visit and tomato tasting at Friðheimar and a horse show, but comes with the Saman pass only. Take that one if the farm appeals.

A South Coast day with the lagoon at the end

The South Coast and Sky Lagoon small-group tour is a 13-hour day from $258: Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, the Sólheimajökull glacier and the black sand at Reynisfjara, then Sky Lagoon with the Saman pass. It is rated 4.8/5 from more than 200 reviews.

It suits you if you were going to do the South Coast anyway and like the idea of a soak after a long day on the road. Pickup is from set points in Reykjavík.

Straight from Keflavík Airport

The Sky Lagoon transfer to or from Keflavík Airport is a private car with flight tracking, from $84 per person and rated 4.6/5 from 51 reviews. The drive takes about 45 minutes.

Lagoon entry is not included, so book the pass as well, and luggage storage costs ISK 990 (about $9) for cases that will not fit a locker.

See the airport transfer

More from Reykjavík

A lagoon visit fills an afternoon or an evening, so most people book it around other days out from the city: whale watching from the Old Harbour, the Perlan glacier and volcano exhibition, or a winter northern lights tour.

Saman or Sér: is the private changing room worth it?

Both passes include the lagoon, the full seven-step ritual, a towel and the shower products. Sér adds a private changing and shower cabin with Sky Lagoon's own body products. On Sky Lagoon's website Saman starts at ISK 14,990 (about $129) and Sér at ISK 17,990 (about $154), so the cabin costs about $25 more per person.

Teenagers aged 12 to 14 pay half: ISK 7,495 (about $64) for Saman and ISK 8,995 (about $77) for Sér. Nobody under 12 is admitted.

On GetYourGuide you pick the pass in the booking calendar. Some listings still use Sky Lagoon's older names, Pure for Saman and Sky for Sér, for the same two passes.

Sér makes most sense if you would rather not change in a shared room, and Sky Lagoon itself recommends it for families because of the extra space. If a shared changing room doesn't bother you, Saman gets you into the same water for less.

Is it cheaper to book direct?

Not at the starting prices. The entrance pass on GetYourGuide is sold by Sky Lagoon itself, and on 2 October 2026 it started at $120 against the official Saman price of ISK 14,990 (about $129). Both change with the date and the arrival slot, so if a few dollars matter, compare the two on your own date. Either way you can cancel up to 24 hours before.

Sky Lagoon's own site does sell a few things GetYourGuide doesn't: the Multi-Pass, six visits at half the regular price, the two-person Date Night packages, and the official shuttle on its own.

What getting there costs

Sky Lagoon is about 13 minutes by car from central Reykjavík, so transport adds less than at the Blue Lagoon. For one or two people without a car, the shuttle is the simple choice. For four people, a taxi can work out about the same.

Fares checked 2 October 2026. ISK converted at ISK 1 = $0.0086, Sky Lagoon's own rate that day.

Split four ways, a return taxi at that fare comes to about $18 to $20 each, a little less than the shuttle supplement, and it takes you to your own door. From a lagoon visit to a full day out

Mostly more of the day around the lagoon. The soak itself is the same on every ticket here; the price changes with how much sightseeing comes before it and how you get there.

Around $120 to $150: the lagoon on its own, or with a shuttle. Entry alone, or entry with the return coach. The shuttle bundle lists the whole outing at about two and a half hours.

Around $235 to $260: a guided day that finishes at Sky Lagoon. Golden Circle or South Coast, 10.5 to 13 hours, with pickup in Reykjavík and lunch at your own expense. On the most-reviewed Golden Circle tour the lagoon is the last stop, so you soak after a long day on the road rather than before it.

Around $280 to $390: a day built around one activity. A glacier walk, a volcano hike, an off-road ATV or buggy ride, or a late lunch at Friðheimar. Most of these have few reviews so far. The Golden Circle, Friðheimar and Sky Lagoon tour, from $382 and rated 5.0/5 from 10 reviews, is the one that includes lunch and lets you choose when to leave the lagoon.

Private days: from about $1,100. Private Golden Circle days with Sky Lagoon exist, such as the Golden Circle and Sky Lagoon private day tour, but none has a review yet.

The options side by side

Every option is linked, with its rating and review count beside it. A low count means there is little to judge by yet, not that the tour is poor.

Anything that only takes you towards the lagoon without admission or a transfer to it, such as the private tours and transfers that leave the Sky Lagoon ticket out, is not in this table.

Tours that offer less for the price

The Golden Circle Tour and Sky Lagoon Entry Ticket costs from $279, $45 more than the Kerið tour, without Kerið crater in its inclusions. It is rated 4.3/5 from more than 300 reviews against 4.9/5 for the Kerið tour. Its one advantage is a Golden Circle audio guide in ten languages, which helps if you would rather not follow an English commentary.

The Golden Circle, Horses and Blue or Sky Lagoon tour, from $251, has no reviews yet. You choose the lagoon when you book, so check that the option you pick is Sky Lagoon.

What the ticket doesn't cover

  • Food and drinks from the Gelmir swim-up bar, Keimur Café and Smakk Bar, charged to your wristband and paid when you leave.
  • Swimsuit rental, if you don't bring your own.
  • Luggage storage at ISK 990 (about $9), for bags that won't fit a locker.
  • Lunch on the day tours, apart from the late lunch on the Friðheimar tour and the tomato tasting on the farm tour.
  • Tips, which a couple of the day tours list as extra.

Is it worth paying more?

For the lagoon itself, no. Paying more does not get you better water or a different view; it gets you a coach to the door, a private changing cabin or a day of sightseeing before you arrive. Pay for the shuttle if you have no car and an evening slot, and for a Golden Circle or South Coast combination if you wanted that day anyway. If you already have a car or a free evening in Reykjavík, the entry pass is all you need.

Where these prices come from

GetYourGuide prices, ratings and review counts were checked on 2 October 2026. Sky Lagoon's pass and youth prices come from its own booking pages, the shuttle fare from Reykjavik Excursions and the bus fare from Strætó's 2026 price list; the taxi fare is one traveller's report. Nobody on our team has been to Sky Lagoon.

We earn a commission if you book through the links on this page. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change which tickets we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure for the detail.

Quick answers

Sky Lagoon price questions

How much does Sky Lagoon cost?

Entry with the seven-step ritual costs from $120 per person on GetYourGuide. On Sky Lagoon's own website the Saman pass starts at ISK 14,990 (about $129) and the Sér pass at ISK 17,990 (about $154). Prices change with the date and the arrival slot.

How much more is the Sér pass than Saman?

About ISK 3,000 (about $25) per adult at Sky Lagoon's starting prices. The difference is a private changing and shower cabin with Sky Lagoon's own body products, plus a reusable swimwear bag; the lagoon and the ritual are the same.

Is it cheaper to book Sky Lagoon direct?

Not at the starting prices in October 2026. The GetYourGuide listing is sold by Sky Lagoon itself and started at $120, below the official Saman price of ISK 14,990 (about $129). Both change with the date and slot, so compare them on your own date.

How much is the Sky Lagoon shuttle?

The official return shuttle from the BSÍ terminal, run by Reykjavik Excursions, costs from ISK 2,499 (about $22) without admission. Admission with a return transfer bundled in costs from $148 on GetYourGuide, $28 more than entry on its own.

Do children pay less at Sky Lagoon?

Teenagers aged 12 to 14 pay a youth price of ISK 7,495 (about $64) for Saman and ISK 8,995 (about $77) for Sér on Sky Lagoon's website, half the adult price. Children under 12 are not admitted.

What costs extra at Sky Lagoon?

Food and drinks from the swim-up bar, the café and Smakk Bar, swimsuit rental if you need one, and luggage storage at ISK 990 (about $9) for bags that do not fit a locker. Every pass includes a towel and shower products.
